This is my very first ATC/ACEO card, "Waterfalls". if you don't see the waterfalls, then shame on you.

I saw this one in person, and the scan doesn't do justice to the true beauty of this ACEO. When the card is turned to reflect the light, the 'water' gleams a bright silver, and seems to cascade right off the side of the card!

You are an amazing artist, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of what you do!

Wow--this is really good. This is exceptionally interesting work. I like the idea of a waterfall of words.

Well done!

What's really funny is that I'll have so much to comment on, but if I do multiple comments it...just seems weird. Lots of people do it on Youtube and all that, but I find that most of those people aren't all that intelligent.

So I have to say, I saw some really, really ,REALLY good-looking ACEO's, and they were all paintings. I realize now that I really have to learn how to paint

(I also realize that it's my blog, and I can do anything I want (but it still affects my viewers >_<(and hooray for multiple parenthesis)

@Clytie I think if I keep making cards like that, it's going to cause some weirdness to go on, heheh

Jon, I mean Mr. Nyuura Sir, weirdness is what being an artist is all about! And yes, it is your blog and you can do anything you want. That's what's so cool about blogging!!!!!

You can do whatever you want on your blog, Nyuura! That's what blogging is all about! I hope you get into painting--I think you would do really well with that. You are an artist through and through--I can see that from the things you've posted so far. LOVE 'em!

So are you complimenting me on my art because I'm related, or because it's actually good? Because I've seen you make the same "level" of compliments to everybody else, and they're all adults. ...Is it because of my age?

Beth Niquette said...

I never give a compliment unless I mean it.

Amen to what Beth said. You have to understand, Jon, that the single killing word to watch out for when people comment on your work (who DON'T mean it) is "interesting". "Oh your work is so INTERESTING". What they mean is "yuck, I don't like it". You can take Beth's words at their face value - the thing to watch out for is when she says something "fills her eyes". When she says that, you know she LOVES it - and is giving the best compliment she has. As for me ... I have ALWAYS valued your opinion as a TRUE ARTIST, and will always do so; I trust your critique of MY work, and i hope you trust my critique of yours.

'Til later!

Nyuura said...

Yes. Unless you say "this work is interesting. I like it".

But I do trust your critique of mine, yes.

Man, this comment-type thing is sort of unconventional for these conversations

Amen to that! lol Say, did you see my dragon and the birdie??? I have a few more ideas for them. I might get them done in the next day or so. lol I'd love to hear what you would say about 'em.

Have a GREAT day!

I have to say--I love this one--and it does fill my eyes.

Why no I haven't.

And you've not seen anything yet! I can't post anything right now though, as I forgot to scan them! What a fool I am!
